Capture the sun sweet flavor of strawberries for use in desserts and beverages all year long.

Servings: 2 cups
  • 1 Qt strawberries washed and hulled
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar or desired alternate
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon or lime juice
  1. Combine strawberries, lemon juice and sugar in a blender or food processor.
  2. Pulse until berries are somewhat chopped then blend until smooth and the sauce looks glossy. Taste and adjust sweetener if needed.

  3. Sauce keeps for up to 4 days in the refrigerator, or pour into two 1 cup containers, leaving 1/2-inch of headspace at the top of the jar and freeze.

Recipe Notes

To thaw frozen sauce, place the containers on the countertop, or in the refrigerator.
