Using and Storing Fresh Fruit in Your Home

Fresh fruit is the ultimate fast food: designed by nature to be eaten, packaging and all! And what could be more convenient: inviting sweetness, handy sizes and bright colors.

We completely understand why so much fruit from Agriberry Farm never actually make it home from the market or pick-up site!

In this section we’d like to help you with storage tips intended to help you make the most of your share or market purchases each week, from the most delicate raspberries to the late-season pears that need to be stored in refrigeration for two or more weeks to reach peak flavor.

In addition, despite the joy of eating your fruit fresh, it can be fun to experiment with new flavor combinations and preservation options. Here are some of our suggestions!

Do you have some favorite tips or recipes to share? We’d love to make them available for all to enjoy!
