Agriberry Farm Educational Tours
We offer tours to school/educational groups (public, private, homeschool, afterschool, summer school, extra-curricular programs, 4H programs, etc.) as well as educational tours for adult groups (Master Gardeners, staff outings, etc.) on Wednesdays – Saturdays by request. We can host between 10 and 40 participants per tour.
Our tours last between 60 and 90 minutes, with space at the farm to have a picnic lunch before or after the tour. During the tour, you will learn about our farming practices, challenges and delights unique to small fruit farming, and how the farm’s core values guide everything we do. Depending on the age level and current areas of study, we can tailor the educational aspects of the tour to your preferred content area.
During berry harvest season, participants will have the opportunity to harvest a unit of berries to take home. During the off season, participants can sample fruits grown by our partner farms. No matter the time of year, participants can tour our farm kitchen, where we make jams, applesauces, oat bars, and more!
Tours cost $5 per participant. We can accept payment via cash, card, or checks made out to “Agriberry Farm.” Invoices are available upon request. Close-toed shoes must be worn on the tour, no matter the time of year. We encourage participants to wear long pants and long-sleeved shirts, a hat, as well as sunscreen and bug spray. Please bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated!
