Red Cabbage with Raspberries and Apples

Wonderful Fall side dish!

Course: Side Dish
Fruit Used: Apples, Raspberries
Servings: 8
  • 1/4 C butter Can substitute olive oil
  • 2 C sliced onions
  • 1 med head red cabbage thinly sliced
  • 2 C tart firm apples thinly sliced
  • ¾ C Agriberry Dazzle Razz vinegar
  • 1/4 C agave syrup or sweetener of choice, to taste
  • 1 pint fresh or frozen raspberries
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  1. Melt butter butter in heavy, large pot over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sautee until tender, about 2 minutes. Add sliced red cabbage, apples, vinegar and sweetener to pot. 
  2. Cook until cabbage is limp, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes. Add pint raspberries. Continue cooking until most of liquid has evaporated, about 25 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Make Ahead Option: Prepare up to 2 days ahead....Cover and refrigerate, then warm over medium heat before serving.
